Adams + Associates Architecture has been selected by Iredell-Statesville Schools to design the new barbering program space at Statesville High School's Career and Technical Educational Building. The existing athletic space will be re-programmed to create a ten-chair barber shop, complete with an adjacent classroom for teaching. The new Barbering Program will also feature a check-in/out counter, allowing for public access after school hours for students to practice cutting hair under supervision. To ensure ADA accessibility, a new ramp, and covered entryway have been designed for the barbershop. Overall, the new Barbering Program is set to provide students with hands-on training and experience in the field of barbering, while also offering a valuable service to the community.
