Adams + Associates Architecture is seeking a talented Job Captain with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our team. This on-site position offers the opportunity to grow professionally while working under the guidance of a licensed Project Manager.
Assist Project Manager with Project Development
Participate as an essential part of the team in all aspects of design, managing, and delivery of Projects from design through construction administration.
Produce Contract Documents that are in compliance with local, state, and federal building codes.
Ability to coordinate with interior design, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and civil engineering consultants throughout design.
Update drawings based on in-house, owner, and agency review.
Assist with construction administration with review of submittals and document coordination. Attend job meetings.
Ability to collaborate with team members to support project goals.
Contribute to project development while adhering to design and quality standards.
Occasionally interact with clients in a professional and effective manner.
Bachelors or Masters of Architecture from an accredited university.
Licensed or pursuing licensure is a plus.
5-8 years of related experience
Proficiency with BIM software, especially Revit (Sketchup, Twin Motion, and Photoshop experience a plus)
Knowledge of building codes, standards, and building structures/construction.
Proficiency in technology, construction documents, and presentation materials.
Strong time management skills.
Ability to travel to client sites and meetings on occasion.
LEED Accredited a plus.
Construction experience a plus.
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently on projects of all scales and types (Public/Private). Retails and Educational a plus.
Highly motivated, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks and work as a team to meet project deadlines.
Passion for design and eagerness to hone your craft is a strong plus.
Strong communication and collaborative skills and a "team first" attitude.

Manage and oversee all marketing efforts in coordination with our design team.
Coordinate, and prepare new business RFQ/RFP/SOQefforts including final production/printing/delivery/tracking. Post-proposal debrief/follow up (internal and external). Documentation of findings (lessons learned, best practices, reasons for not making short list, trends, etc.).
Assist with interview presentations.
Coordinate and prepare public relations initiatives and announcements.
Creation of compelling content for all marketing efforts including for proposals, interviews, industry conferences, events, website, and professional social media profiles.
Participate in creation of the marketing planand budget, and execute that plan regionally, at local events, sponsorships, etc.
Develop and maintain a network of corporate, industry, government, municipal,educational (public, private and charter) and community contacts to keepabreast of industry, client, and competitor activity in the markets served.
Begin, Develop and Maintain Client Relationship Management; track opportunities with Business Development and market research.
Join networking events to get firm exposure and get our name out there.
Coordinate photography and portfolio updates with project teams.
Planning & coordination of select officeevents focused on clients and business development.
Implement an internal communications program to facilitate information sharing within the firm; inform and involve president and staff regarding marketing efforts.
Actively participate in professional and community organizations representing our areas of focus such as A4LE, SAIS, NCCSA, NCPSMA, ULI, SMPS, and others.
BA or Master’s degree in Marketing.
4-7 years of marketing experience in the architectural, engineering and/or construction industry preferred.
Demonstrated leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
Strong creative writing skills, verbal, communications, and presentation skills.
Strong attention to detail and understanding of core values and branding.
A high proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office programs graphic design experience preferred.
Strong proof-reading skills.
Willingness to work after hours and on weekends, if necessary, and sometimes on short notice, in order to meet deadlines.
Having business sense is a plus.
Desire to work in a collaborative, team-based environment
Highly organized, dependable, detail oriented and thorough.
Superior ability to effectively prioritize and manage competing demands to meet deadline constraints.
