The Tanger Outlets at Deer Park is the first regional mall of its size to be built on Long Island in three decades. It sits on 83 acres. The design touches on the details of an Italian village, with its wide piazzas and buildings that are accented with tile roofs, cast stone, and Venetian plaster finishes. The central plaza features a grand fountain that acts as an outdoor skating rink during the winter season.​
