Serving the rapidly growing communities to the west of Mooresville, Fire Station No. 2 was designed and built in 1999. This facility includes a naturally-lit apparatus bay with a curved wood roof, skylights,  and large bay windows in addition to the apparatus doors. It also houses administrative offices, a training room, living quarters, a kitchen, and an exercise room.  The station was designed to enhance efficiency and support the day-to-day activities of the firefighters.
